About this event
Our Mission: Grand Strand TubaChristmas unites low-brass musicians of all ages and skill levels—from middle school students to seasoned veterans—to celebrate the heritage of the tuba and euphonium family, honor the legacy of Harvey Phillips and William J. Bell, and share the rich, festive warmth of live holiday music with the Carolinas community through free public performances.
Carolinas Low-Brass Showcase & Testing Program Mission: To elevate low-brass music education and performance across the Grand Strand and Eastern Carolinas by providing band directors, university students, and community musicians with accessible, hands-on instrument testing, acoustic guidance, and regional ensemble opportunities in partnership with Wessex Tubas and The Tuba Lair. Visit the Carolinas Low-Brass Showcase & Testing Program website .
It doesn't matter if you've been playing for two weeks or two decades—if you want to play great holiday music with fellow tuba, euphonium, baritone, and sousaphone enthusiasts under Guest Conductor Dr. Joanna Ross Hersey, you are welcome here!
